First step - I asked for help.
I'm the alpha personality; the "I'm fine. I can handle it." status-quo-er; the "I secretly have no clue what I'm doing, but everyone's looking at me like I do, so fake-it-till-you-make-it, right? I'll wallow in self-pity later and hit the self-help books extra hard this month to make up for my obvious short-comings" kinda gal.
Phew - that was a lot wasn't it?
Well - I have been hitting the self-help books, and I've been meditating, and I'm approaching my 5th year with a winning combo of anti-depressant medication & super awesome therapist. So, when I decided I needed help reading 3 Shakespeare plays in the next three months - I asked for it.
Yup. Just did it. Sent an email to about 35 people I know/trust/enjoy working with. Tracked the responses (nearly all "yes" BTW). And am setting up play-reading date number one at the end of this month.
