A fellow cast-mate has a job that requires her to be awake at 4AM on certain days. After taking bows, she ran off stage, threw her costume on a chair and asked if someone could help her by hanging it up so she could go catch the train (and less than 5 hours of sleep). I was standing there, and did so, happily.
The next day, we followed the same process - only I didn't realize it was one of the nights that she wasn't actually leaving early and I had 'helped' more than needed.
I've also been giving rides to a couple of cast-mates: I have a car; they live quite nearby; we're leaving at the same time anyway.
This led to one of my cast-mates asking, "Kim, why are you so nice?!?" It was said lovingly and with humor, but I was taken aback a bit. What do you say to that? (I, in my self-deflecting nature said "Well, it's the only way I could ever make friends, being as ugly as I am." - Again, totally joking.)
But the more I've thought about it, the more I realize this is a legitimate question in this day and age.
